for being so caring of your animals... even the ones planned for the dinner table.

I believe the Creation account in Genesis, and believe that animals as well as the earth was and is for the stewardship of mankind. Mankind has done a stinking job as a whole when it comes to causing the extinction of animals and the pollution of the earth. If God had not wanted us to eat animals, why did He make them out of meat?
That said, we are to take care and manage the animal population. Even livestock should be made comfortable as possible and healthy while they suit the purposes of mankind. If the purpose is to feed mankind, even that process should be humane to the end.
