Treats that are okay?

My grandfather always fed bread crusts. He said just be sure it was good and hard and never feed fresh bread. It balls up in their intestines and doesn't digest well.

.... because dry bread stays dry in the degestive system? It doesn't make sense. Dry bread will become wet inside the rabbit. Grains in general do not digest well, but free choice hay and water - and moderation in the treats will prevent problems.
