Any one hear from @Devonviolet ? She posted last year at the 5 yr anniversary of Joe's passing... understood that her health and her husband's health were not great...and they had sold most of their goats...

They have a few goats, raise them for the freezer and to keep their Maremma LGDs busy.

Joe gave a us all a lot of chuckles. For a guy that was so brilliant smart, he did some of the dumbest things—and then told us about them! The kind of things any other person would shut their mouth about, never admit to it and hope nobody saw it.

Alot of very very smart people do some of the dumbest things that those of us with less smarts but more common sense would not do... and agree @Baymule we NEVER would have told a soul if we did something dumb like that....!!!!!

But you have to be able to laugh at yourself. Some of our best family stories are about the dumb things we did - and survived! LOL

I was over on TEG the other night & stumbled across the thread about Alex passing.
People who don't participate in these things don't understand how deeply involved we become in each other's lives.
I have sobbed over losses & cheered over successes here in the forum. Friends are sick of me talking about yall as if we were neighbors. Bay said that, Jan said this. Fuzzi is doing this & I think I might try it too.

My husband knows who Baymule, Farmer Jan, Rachel’s.haven, Ridgetop, and you are. Beyond that his eyes just glaze over. (Well, they glaze over anyway.)

Same here. "My friend in . . . . does such and so" is common around here. "No, I don't know their actual real name, but they say do it this way . . . . "
