Hey everyone. I have a question as this is my first year experiencing the birth of lambs. I have one I started bottle feeding as his mom wanted nothing to do with him. He is 12 days old. I didn’t know I needed to snip and dip the umbilical cord. When I picked him up tonight I noticed he had blood on him and it’s coming from where is umbilical cord is starting to come off and I just want to make sure it’s normal (I’ll include a picture). It’s also quite long so now that it’s compley dried up can I trim it so it’s not getting pulled on. Thank you in advance

Definitely mild iodine on it now....

Iodine the bloody part, then cut the dried part shorter to prevent it from pulling.
