Waterer to big?

I have to put my Boer goats (5-12 depending on the season) in 250sqft house at night. I have been using a 60 gallon stock tank with a float. It takes so much space though. I bought one of these https://www.amazon.com/Lucky-Farm-D...automatic+goat+waterer&qid=1617326211&sr=8-22 push to drink waterers. Is this to small to accommodate the number of goats? Will they figure it out? Should I be worried? I plan to move the stock tank out in the pasture.

I see no reason that it won't work. Goats are smart and with your help to get it started, they will catch on quick. I use hog nipples, extended through the fence, so they can't turn over their water. Haven't had one yet that didn't figure it out. Please post more on this and how your goats do with the waterer.

Should I train them? Is the large enough for 12 goats?

I have a blue barrel outside the pig pen. I reach over the fence and depress the hog nipple with a long stick. They get excited and start trying to get the water. One figures it out, the other one watches and learns. Monkey see. Monkey do.

Lead one of your goats to the waterer and push the nozzle with your hand, just a little bit. The goat will drink, push her head against the nozzle and she will get the hang of it. Or you could smear a little peanut butter on the nozzle and when they lick it off, the water will flow.
