That's a shame...from your signature, it looks like we'd be in for a treat with all the critters you have!

This is the worse thing I have ever done yes I have had speeding tickets but that's it. So it was a tough decsision and I do know that stealing is wrong. But so is leaving livestock in the condition they were in and for the amount of time they were left. I believe that animals should be respected even if they are going to be food. My friends sure like to give me a ribbing about haveing the cops coming after me for it. But I know each one of them pretty well and they would do the same thing.
Amen!!!!!!!!! Exactly why I raise my own meat animals.

Well, I don't know you, hardly anything about goats, nor do I know anything about auction houses. But after reading what you've posted and the responses of the other people here and what I feel is the right thing to do, I am glad that you took them and gave them a home to live and live happily. Sure, it was wrong by society standards, but there is a time when you have to put those things aside and do what's right sometimes, even if it is against the law. And boy, let me tell you, we have some pretty screwed up laws these days!

And just for arguments sake, you did tell the auction house about it so if they wanted to, they could have done something right then and there. They saw that 1. You were an honest enough person to own up to what you did and let you keep them or 2. they didn't want the hassle of taking care of the situation and let it go since you were already taking care of them. Either way, you did something where most probably would have turned a blind eye and said under their breath "I'm not going to take them. Why should it be my responsibility?" Unfortunately, that's the way some people think these days. You did the right thing! Good on ya! God Bless you!

Anyway, if you need help in posting pics on this forum, I'm sure we can help you out. It isn't too hard to do. ;) I can give you step by step instructions that will take the confusion out of the whole process. Believe me, if I can teach my wife how to text on a cell phone, I can teach you how to post pictures! I love her to death, by the way!
