This is a Jacob ram I owned several years ago. He blew his fleece like all my PDS sheep. So did his lambs. We didn’t have much luck with horns, getting lambs with poor horn growth. He was sold to someone who had Jacob ewes and wanted to eliminate fleece. I wish this guy’s breeder was still with us, I’d love to ask him more questions.

Have one. I wonder how bribable he is? I suspect a home made chute and a bottle of Guinness may be involved. He’s mostly shorn. I’d like to tidy him up though.

Well his fleece would keep him toasty in your neck of the woods. I haven’t been able to get rid of the last of it since I hurt my foot. He’s getting along better with the ewes but they still give him the hairy eyeball. It would be ironic if he couldn’t get near enough to sire lambs. Sheep.

He showed me his tackle last night, sakes. This morning he was hanging around a ewe who was not trying to avoid him. Hopefully standing heat is right around the corner.
