What part of FL are you in?
Im in Naples Fl and been looking were to get some good pig at. Havent been able to get any info on where to buy them. If you have any info of auction barns or anything please pm me..

Didnt mean to take the thread or anythng.
I have some questions myself about feeding them. I know a couple of people that work at Panera Bread that get bread and pasteries for free. Would that be alright to feed the pigs with there feed???

Thanks,
RIRss

I'm in central Fl and boy, isnt it cold this week?!?

We are going to buy off of Craigs list this time. Have found a few breeders on there.

Having read a bit lately on feeding, pretty much anything healthy for us is healthy for them so not sure if pastries and sweet stuff is going to give you the best pork.

I have about 6 citrus trees in the yard and my hogs get all the fallen fruit. I also clean out the fridge once a week and they get all the scraps, with the exception of pork or raw meat. The only thing I've found them not to eat so far are onions.

Sounds good looks like will have a great time with feeding hogs....I have a huge 40acre organge farm next to me. The guy who owns it said "feel free to get any oranges" so looks like im in good shape for now.

Thanks,

Hi, when you feed the citrus fruits to the pigs, do you have to cut them up?

I have no pigs yet but hoping my hubby will let me get some this spring... :)
