What does 88% boer plus 100% nubian equal????

I would think he would be 44% boer and 66% nubian if my math is correct since mom is 88% boer and dad is 100% nubian. He is a nice looking buckling.

If the other part of mom is Nubian. Dam = 88% Boer 12 % Nubian. 1/2 of each percentage goes to the kid. Dad is 100% Nubian so 1/2 of that percentage goes to the kid. So you get 44% Boer + 6% Nubian + 50% Nubian.



That gives you 44% Boer and 56% Nubian.

Very handsome.

And yes, 44% boer/56% nubian would be correct.

LOL - and see...I didn't even notice that part! It's okay...he's just cutie patootie no matter what! he even has little black spots on the pink skin underneath his tail! I thought first OH No! POOPY BUTT! Then I looked really close...just POLKA DOT BUTT!

He's already keeping up with the little saanen bucklings...kind of confused on where things are...they come running for a bottle...he's still over in the corner crying for help because he's lost...LOL...we are a MESS around here!

No worries. You almost had it and I almost didn't notice that it was off. Just have to do a final check to make sure that the end numbers ad up to 100. Because while I'm SURE they'll tell you otherwise goats are not 110% of anything. Except maybe expensive.

technically full-blood boers are suppose to have 100% pigmentation on their bare skin areas, but at least 70% in order to be shown.
