What is needed for showing?

I am sure there are other threads about this but...
I have Nigerians (got my first this past may) and am looking into showing them and was wondering what supplies are needed.
I know you need clippers(any recommendations?)
Tarps (for the pens)
collars/leads (I have been told what would work best for this )
brush(?)
Milk stand
Feed/water buckets
Water from home
Wipes
Registration papers (any other paperwork?)
Disinfectant (what kind is suggested)
Fly spray
Any thing you can add will be greatly appreciated.
Hoping to start showing this coming spring/summer

In addition to your list-

100ft drop cord+ outlit strip
Milking equipment
Lots of Zip ties for the tarps + a few good sets of scissors and wire snips
Plastic netting for kids (depending on what type of pen you have)

I have a 5 gallon bucket that holds spray bottles of bleach, chlorhexadine, permetrins, along with a container of virkon S tablets and a 1 gallon sprayer. I also bring disinfecting wipes and a broom head, so that I can brush away any junk/cobwebs etc.

I also keep a few bottles of some good hand sanitizer.
Chances are, if you go to a show someone is going to ask for help.
I always wash up before I handle my goats.

Gatorade or something to flavor the water (no way I can haul enough water for all these goats)

Of course you need to bring hay/feed

Bring a good first aid kit.

I do bring a bag full of brushes, baby wipes, rags, paper towels, dry shampoo, or some other spray.
Although my goats seem to look fine without that stuff.

For the clippers, right now we just use an Oster. Nothing fancy. We use a #10, #7, and a #50 on the udder.

I stay with the goats, and do not go to a hotel. So I bring a tent, air bed, etc.
If you do this, stay away from the Nubians

All you need are the registration papers. If you are going out of state you need a health cert.
I bring the ADGA guide book with me, along with a copy of my entry forms or anything else I think would be good to have.

That's a good idea - even though I rarely did it. One year at the Tulsa fair I happened to be in the barn very, very late (early) one morning after going to a show. Went to check on my animals before heading to the hotel. Found a very drunk young lady asleep in a pen with one of my does and her babies. Security!!! When "asked" to leave she was crying and blubbering about how she couldn't leave the cuteness....it was the "cutest cuteness" she'd ever seen and she just couldn't leave them.

Never had those issues at stand alone shows - but go to a public venue and you put up with all that craziness.

The health certificate does it need to be 10 days before the show (if I am showing out of state) like people want with dogs?
Why is it that you need a health certificate if you are from out of town?

Most of the time it is because you are crossing state lines.
Although it seems Florida wants a certificate for every show.

I'm not sure about the stand alone goat shows in CA but I know that anything held at a fairgrounds will not allow you to spend the night in the barn. Fire safety regulations. I can't mention on a public forum what was found going on in the goat barn at our local fair a few years ago...another reason I don't show.
