I was wondering what qualifications everyone has for raising their goats.

I wasn't aware one had to have qualifications for raising goats. Everyone and their sister seems to be doing it.

@B&B Happy goats Lol! I found a course anyone can take to get a certificate showing they are Dairy Goat Quality Producers and/or Meat Goat Quality Producers.

Yes but I knew nothing when I first started raising goats in 2007. Started with Kiko, Kiko/boer and 1 boer. This caused me to end up buying a small herd of goats with Johnes disease. I ended up culling them all in 2010 after I finally got tired of all the abortions, dead goats and dead kids.

I knew nonthing when I started back then and I continue learning all the time ...it's my memory that fails me now , lol

Qualifications? Hmmm? I had the money and a nice place to begin the goat yard. Now the learning is in process. I love my goats. That's my only qualification. I'm sure learning lots here on BYH though.
