I ran into some goaty tasting milk which means it was a little long in the fridge. Can this milk be used for anything else like soap?

I use my "goaty" milk for making soap. In fact I freeze it in ziplock bags in just the amount needed for a batch of soap.

On Tuesdays I milk, I get about between 1.5 and 2 gallons. Then by Sunday/Monday, the milk is getting a bit goaty. I now have LOTS of frozen goat milk. I plan to drink it more often so I am not having to freeze anymore for a while.

My husband will only drink goat milk for a couple of days at a time, he says it makes his urine smell "goaty".... I have yet to confirm that! I guess I am not that eager to find out!!

Weird!

My husband has issues with the goat milk too, he says it tastes like licking a buck, (even fresh) but it tastes nice and sweet to me...? He also says he can tell what kind of hay they are eating by the milk, he says it tastes better if it is grass hay, and more goaty if it is alfalfa. I've even tried tricking him by feeding them one or the other and having him taste side by side, he can pick out which is which. I don't notice any difference, and in general I have a better sense of taste than he does.

I like it best when it's really cold, almost with little ice crystals. Warm-Goaty tasting milk is just not what I really like but.... my puppies and chickens don't know the difference.

My chickens love it. I also have a 5 year old cat with a medical problem (LPGS) who has a tough time keeping weight on sometimes. He runs to his bowl when I come inside from milking. Since we started giving him goat's milk once a day he's back to his normal weight and his coat is healthier! We just have to be careful not to leave the milk unattended for even a moment in the kitchen... :p

I'll have to try the chickens with the goaty goats milk. I wonder though if that affects the eggs in color or taste. Wouldn't that be awful in having goaty tasting eggs !!!!

My wife did freeze most of the milk in breast milk bags.

I often would use it in my baking. As long as it wasn't something custard-like I couldn't tell any difference. :)
