I have a yr old Nubian pygmy nanny. Went out to feed last night other goats came to eat she didn't. I went looking for her and she was real skidish (which is not normal) she was walking around sort of like she was drunk or really confused. I packed her to my feed barn put her in there and let her eat packed her back out still seemed very disorented, put her in one of the sleeping totes I have set out and would kind of let her head roll to one side and kind of walked in circles in there. I had to be at work 5 am this morning didnt have time to go back out and check on her.. What could be going on?

Take temp ASAP.

I would be worried about polio or listeria.

Do you have a good goat vet? I would consult with my vet and possibly start on Dex, Pen G, & thiamine.

No don't really have a good vet. I have pen g how much should I administer? What is dex? I typed in thiamine at tsc and pulled up some sort of crumble for horses how much of that should I administer.

It is off label and I cannot give dosages.

If this is polio or listeria (common practice to treat for both as they look very similar) you need prescription strength injectable thiamine. Dex is Dexamethasone , it is also Rx.

It is hard to give a "diagnosis" with reading 1 paragraph. I would at least contact your vet and see if s/he can take a look at the goat.

She is still kicking... Just to the right.. I gave 5 cc of pen g every 6 hrs she isn't showing drastic improvement. Talked to vet said to give 3 cc of LA 200 once a day for 3 days then call back after 3rd day and let him known the results

Really sounds like goat polio/listeria
We have treated for this twice.
We had to do high doses pen-g Rx Thiamine and Rx dexamethasone
