My sister's Holland lop buck has a bunch of little white dots on his testicles. He has not been around any other rabbits since I got him almost 2 months ago. He is 9 months old. The spots just appeared 3 days ago. Has anyone seen this?

Maybe wool mites? Is there any dandruff anywhere else? There may be flakes down in the fur that are showing up on the testes because that's somewhere for them to stick? If it is flakes stuck to the testes and not some sort of skin condition, then try putting a dab of Ivermectin horse wormer in their ears or behind the neck and see if the spots disappear in several days. Ivermectin horse wormer is an apple flavored gel sold at feed stores pretty inexpensively.

If the white spots are some sort of skin condition, then check out Vent Disease, which is basically rabbit syphilis. It's not transferable to humans. If it is Vent Disease, then he will possibly need some penicillin to get rid of it. I forget the exact dosage at the moment and there's several different schedules of the shots. Bigger shots closer together, was it daily for a week? Or smaller shots once a week for about five weeks? We had to give the whole herd shots of penicillin several years ago and it did clear it up.

There is an online version of the Merck Veterinary Manual.
