Hi,

I'm Cindy. I'm new to the bunny world and I'm loving it! I have a sweet lion head doe that at one time I though was a buck. She was playing with our other 2 bucks and I realized a few weeks later that she wasn't a buck! My question is can a litter be fathered by more then on doe?

Thanks so much!!:/

Now I don't own rabbits however I've heard that if a doe is bred multiple times she'll have kits sired by more then one father, however the kits will be born on different dates, or that they'll all be born at once with premies.

??? I think the situation you are referring to is that of a doe that gets pregnant from one breeding, and then gets bred again at a later date while she is still pregnant with the first litter. The OP's question is about two bucks on the same date, and even within minutes of each other. Absolutely a litter can be sired by more than one buck. Occasionally, a breeder will put a doe in with a buck, think she didn't breed to him, put her in with another buck, witness a successful breeding, and when the kits come realize that the first buck is clearly the father of some of the kits at least (due to color, usually).

So, who's the daddy? Unless you saw her bred by one buck and are absolutely sure that that was the only breeding that occurred, you can't know. If you know rabbit coat color genetics well enough to know that a certain color is impossible with one of the bucks but not the other, then the kit of that color must have been sired by the other buck. Beyond that, it's just a guessing game.
