Raw here. Milk into cooled bowl, filtered and refrigerated immediately. Love it.

To get the dust and hair and anything else that may have fallen into the milk bucket out. Years ago when I milked I was always amazed at what would be filtered out, even though I thought there was nothing in there that shouldn't be. I hand milk so you have an open pail, but even if I machine milked I would filter.
