Why Don't My Pictures Show Up On Old Threads?

@Support or @Nifty I wanted to send a link to my old thread I Hate Green Briars to a friend. But on Page 1, most of the pictures are replaced by a red X. When I clicked on edit, the pictures show up, but I can't save them. Here is the link.

Making A Pasture

All that clover has to be great for fixing nitrogen in the soil and it looks so lush! The honey bees have to love all that clover also!

I can't remember details but this happened on BYC with one of the updates.
Some pictures were not ever recovered but some were.
@Nifty should remember what the deal was.


If I'm not mistaken it had something to do with the exact way they were originally uploaded.

I wasn't a very good one cuz I can't remember exactly what it's called...but it was an issue that could partially be fixed.

It looks like maybe you copied them from the TEG? Since I can reply and see them, they are still there.

Seriously...on my Mac...never had an issue downloading pictures to add to an album.

It's very odd for sure.

All the images with issues seem to be linked to from TEG.

When I edit the posts, the images show up, but not when just viewing. Very odd!

It has something to do with the "image proxy" (basically caching of images.

I refreshed the proxy, so it looks like all the images are working properly now.

Let me know if you see anything else odd.
