I'm not sure if you've gotten your pig yet but if you haven't then I'd recommend that you buy a pair instead of just one. If you ran your pig with your other critters it would be fine but there is something about having a 'pig buddy' that helps them grow better.
A lot of folks will purchase two when I have some for sale, raise them both and use the money from selling one to pay for having the other processed.

I agree about the selling one to pay for one, though we didn't do that. We are just a month away from processing ours and he just weighed in at 270 pounds. :ep So no trouble growing on his own!

Are you eating him yet? What were his final weights? Live? Hanging?

We just picked him up today from the butcher. They didn't weigh him, but we taped him at about 300 pounds live and we got back 175 pounds of meat/ wraps/ cuts. Plus we saved about 100 pounds of scraps, bones, fat, and hide for the dogs. :D
