Will goats get used to train horns blowing nearby?

I need some help from someone experienced with trains and goats! If someone lives next to a railroad track and the trains go by regularly with horns blowing... will goats adjust to it or will they always freak out?

Anyone?

We have sheep and our neighbor has goats and neither herd acts like they even hear the train going by and two of our main paddocks is only 75' from the tracks. Our property line is a CSX main track that is busy all week and not the weekends but trains are a constant. The track goes into a tunnel at our driveway which is where our neighbors goats are and they don't react at all. Others might have animals that it does bother and hopefully they will chime in.

It may take them a little bit to adjust and it depends on how active the tracks are, but they will get to where they will pause look and continue to graze.....feeling the vibrations of the ground will take a little longer to overcome.

Ours don't bave to get used to a train, but FedEx and UPS planes are always flying over....along with National Guard helicopters.....but, let the big farm machines go up and down the road and they will bolt and jump....heavy thunder that shakes the ground has them b-lining to their house. Just learn the schedule and don't open gates til they pass by.....

My goats only care about the sound of people coming or the gate. Our trains and rush hour noise from a hidden big road do not appear to bother them. The noises being on a schedule helps. So does just time. The first few days they were slightly nervous. Now they are cool with it.
