I thought he was. Just never know for sure. We had an Anatolian. Loved her. On a waiting list for another. (Technically Anatolians and Kangals are the same breed though some don’t agree.He is a Turkish kangal
)I did google it to make sure I wasn’t thinking wrong! Lol

There seem to be a lot of LGDs that originate in Turkey. Our Akbash is just the 3rd generation of dog that fairly recently came from there.
