First off. The only vet anywhere around here willing to see a goat is out of town :/
I normally give Hoegger Herbal Wormer once a month for my goaties, and use the Ivesco Goat Dewormer Concentrate pellets 3-4x a year (normally when they have been out in the deer trails) This morning my Togg, who is weaning her twins (11 weeks) was looking a little "blah" and I noticed clumpy poops in the pen. She wouldn't let me check her eyes, but she doesn't seem as bright and as alert as normal. Usually her eyes are bugging out of her head, like, well, a Togg.
I'm wondering if trying to use the "natural" stuff isn't working anymore. I haven't had an issue in almost 3 years. I was reading that I can use the 1.87% Ivermectin paste which I have on hand for my horses. I know I will have to with hold milk for 9 days (some say 3 cause they don't worry about it, but ok) but is it ok for her kids? May seem like a silly question, but this is our first kidding, and I don't know these things. I plan on worming them as well.
