Baymule
Herd Master
Years ago I raised show rabbits. I raised them on a mixture of oats, barley, milo and pelleted alfalfa. I posted this link on your other post, Walter Jefferies raises his hogs with out commercial feeds. he has a whole system for raising his hogs that cannot be accomplished in one season. But you can read his blog and get lots of help and ideas from it. If you are going to make hog raising an ongoing activity, then you might incorporate some if his techniques such as planting fruit and nut trees and oak trees (for the acorns) in the fence rows. He double fences the fence rows to keep the hogs from rooting up the trees, but the fruit and nuts fall into the pens for the hogs to eat. What would a grain mix look like without corn or soy? Is that possible?
