I’ve been severely delayed in making this, I REALLY need this to help me keep track of what my herd changes have been like this year and specifics in money. I’m going to put down everything I’ve already bought or sold starting Jan 1st, 2024. I’m still building my foundation herd (and possibly flock of sheep) so I expect to SPEND a lot more than I’ll SAVE this year, which is fine… I’m prepared for that.
January
SOLD none
BOUGHT none
February
SOLD Bessie triplet #1 - $225
SOLD Bessie and triplets #2 & #3 - $700
GIFTED Margo, Eden, Everest - $1,200
March
BOUGHT polled Boer doe - $190
BOUGHT Boer buck - $100
April
BOUGHT twin ram lambs - $185 for both

Organization! I’m so proud of you! Gotta keep up with feed and other expenses too.

My last year in Lindale, I finally cleared $2,000 above expenses. Then I sold farm, moved, bought farm, moved again. New farm needs everything. I’m gonna be in the hole for awhile, but my goal is to clear $5,000 to $10,000 a year.

Welcome to the world of insane crazy people!

YOU ARE A FARMER!

Feed I have written in a notebook as well as other expenses, etc. all money for that is kept separately
Love the pics 😊😊
For keeping track of expense info you can make up your written pages in a note book with an envelope taped into the back for receipts.
This is a nice easy style to start with….
