Virginia is for Pasture Farmers!
Visiting the only VA farm soon.
They're hella expensive for the real small ones and colorful...

First trip had to be canceled because of the gas shortage.

Today's trip had to be canceled because...of rain in the forecast...wtf

So, guess we'll just skip the trip and wait for calves to be available instead.

Looking for one heifer & 1 steer or 2 heifers, with parents 33" and under.

Changed my color requirements to 1 can be grey, still no solid black, and the other can be solid red, but prefer spotted.

Seems that me posting new ISO ads got them a little worried?
They have calves for us to choose from when we visit, and told which days, but then whenever we're ready.
Hoping to go in early June to choose one.

May be buying a heifer from NY, too. Waiting on current pictures before officially deciding. Yearling in summer, friendly n halter broke, dehorned, UTD vaccines.

Dehorned may prevent an accident but, to me they need them to pull off the whole look. Although tipping is quite neccasary.

Nothing with a horn is allowed on my farm. Don't need any chances of bizarre goring accidents.

I'm more worried about it being a scam, with the crappy picture and video quality. Idk...

If you scroll down a bit on this page it will show a slideshow of different colors of the zebu....I LOVE that black speckled one!

I hate to tell you, but the info is not very reliable. Zebus come in all sorts of colors and size and horn shapes. After reading the first few paragraphs I didn't bother to read any further.

Passed on the NY heifer. Seriously, if you're selling something, don't make buyers pull every single detail out one at a time! Have pictures, videos, heights so on all ready to go!

New we wait for the VA farm. Only bull calves, but maybe we'll decide on two tiny steers instead.

That happens often when animals are taken to other countries. The animal we know as a zebu is only based on the animals that were imported which likely all look similar to the buyers preference. It happens in many animals.

If the VA farm is that worried about 1 potential buyer be careful.

Maybe that might be true, but that's no reason shut your eyes from the rest of the world. In this age knowledge is power. I know longer keep cattle or deal in cattle. I haven't kept a cow in like 5 years. I got rid of them to focus on Water Buffaloes.

Here are 10 breeds of zebu cattles from only India and Pakistan just to show the diversity of zebu breeds.
