[Mini Horses]

My grass is coming, not that well -- BUT enough to reduce hay. That's a blessing! Hay has been expensive and sometimes not great. This last load from dealer is real nice orchard. 👍

Lookit them chunky lambs!! I WISH our grass was growing in that well already…I’m still feeding hay. The horses pasture is definitely growing well though!!

Well, you are a bit further north than me, so that's understandable. Hopefully you won't have to wait much longer! Maybe the grass likes horse manure?

That definitely is a blessing! And orchard grass is an unheard of delicacy here. I'm sure they love it!

Now it's the goats turn to be let out on pasture! I have such short goats they are disappearing into it! My little 2 week old buckling looks like a bunny rabbit hopping 2 feet in the air then disappearing every time he lands😂

Take a look at our newest farm animal!!!! We are so excited to begin breeding these. Who needs chicken and lamb when you can have succulent grubs? In all seriousness though, have you ever seen a grub that big??!! He's about the size of 3 regular sized grubs. The chickens went cuckoo over him, so he did get eaten, just not by us 😁🤢

He might have been a rhinoceros beetle grub, those are huge too.

I got some pretty good pics of the last year's and this year's lambs! I know the grass is a bit tall to judge pasterns, but if anyone has some conformation pointers otherwise I could use the help. I know a lot more about goat conformation than sheep right now, and wasn't sure how these babies/yearlings looked.

Gael (15 weeks) she's the one on the right without the ear tag in the first picture.

From what I know of goat conformation, it seems to me that Heidi is the best looking, but I'm not sure. Eden is really long and she's bigger than Gael who is a month older. Those are my only notes. Beyond that, I'm not sure what I'm looking for.

Your sheep have pretty good conformation. Long straight back, that’s the money cut-lamb chops. A well rounded, full hind leg, leg of lamb is another important cut.

Diesel looks a little flat on her hind leg, but it could just be the way she is standing.

They are nice sheep, be proud of them.
