When I was 14, I was not with the in crowd at school or any crowd at all. I was all about outside, my best friend was my horse and I didn’t care about all the silly popular idiots at school. I’m 70 now and have never “fit in” and I like me the way I am. You, like the rest of us here, now “fit in” with this group of BYH’ers.

Celebrate who you are. You have a special empathy for animals that 99% of people don’t have and never will. That puts you in the 1% and that’s pretty darn special.

Read up on Temple Grandin.
Interesting side note here. My brother has met her several times. When he was here getting his freezer lamb she came up in conversation somehow. My brother actually brought it up - I was amazed he knew her, he was surprised I knew who he was talking about. My brother isn't a rancher/farmer or anything close (he's an airline pilot). He thought Temple is pretty cool.

for the BeefBuilder program you have to make a display board about anything with dairy or beef cows and I wanted to do it on a dairy cow so I chose Ayrshires and right now my brother asked me what I am doing for my board so I told him I don't know because if I told him what i am doing he would have done the same thing as me then he asks if i am doing Ayrshires and I say yes and he says that he is doing his board on them so now I have to find something else to do when county fair is on the 28th and I have to start again with another breed:(:(

I just came home from the horse show fun day they give ribbons for different age groups there was 1 other person in my age group so even when I lost I only got 2nd place there were 3 events: Barrel Racing, Pole Bending and the Hat Race which is where you put a hat on top a pole at one end of the arena and you start on the other end you go down get the hat and come back and the hat race is the only thing I won today the other kid in my age group is my sisters friend and in pole bending I got no time for breaking pattern. in barrel racing I came so close to breaking the pattern because I share Phoebe with my sister and she is in the age group before me and when she was doing barrels the stirrup snapped so we had to fix it before I went and I didn't put much weight on it so it wouldn't snap again but my time for barrels was 30 some seconds
