And here I sit - finally back to normal on last test - Vit D off the chart high. And while I'm outside a lot like the rest of you, I'm covered up long sleeves and jeans and hat to protect my skin per drs orders/suggestions.

As we age (70 here), our body's cannot convert the sunlight into VitD as well. Its sometimes reported that seniors like us only absorb about 25% of our daily VitD needs every day.
Interesting. Though both DH and I were both high off the chart - same age range. Weird - probably some CA experiment :duc ;)

I do not wear long sleeves on the tractor in the summer raking hay...... I have a "real" farmer's tan.... wear real loose boxey lightweight western SHORT SLEEVED snap shirts.... dark tanned arms, V neck red/tan.... EXCEPT when taking the doxy antibiotics...I had to cover up or burn badly, to a crisp... SO, I guess it is the inability to absorb the sunshine vitamins.

Since I can't really read this now, I will look at some of this later... when the eyes are focusing correctly. Good thing is she said my prescription was about the same as my glasses... eyes, pressure all look good... and will look at new glasses in a day or 2 when I can see clearly.... need a 2nd pair and will keep these old ones for the barn/cows etc.... new ones for "good" when I am not in the cow barns...

It's Sat evening and I am in for the night. It has been a long last couple of days. We did the 500 cow herd , Wed morning, and then went and got some more darts and picked up another bottle of Draxxin.... dropped $900 at the vet. But that is normal. The Draxxin used to be 1100 for a bottle that size, but they have come way down in the price since the generics came out...
Got the samples packed and sent off Wed eve....

I am still in alot of low back pain and now, it also is in the muscles/joints. Might be a flu bug, but that is about the only symptom... had some chills for a little bit Friday night, but woke up with just the nagging back/joint pain today.
I called the dr office on Friday and asked if someone could call me back... which they say they will do within 24 hours, except in an emergency, then to call office back... this is not an emergency I don't think... although it is pushing the ache/pain level....
I had called Wed, and have an appt for the bone density x-rays on Wed this coming week. When I left the message on Friday... I asked if there was any thoughts to this being kidney stones and was there anything they can x-ray for them also when I am there... I expect to hear back on Monday as they called me with the results as soon as they got them I think... it was prompt.

I got up this morning and didn't know if I could even get around... but it was not as bad as last night, so I went on and tested the farm I had set up. No set up, they have weigh jars, and super people.... so I went and we milked from 4 to 6... got the computer work done and I was home by 7:30. I managed to carry water out and fill the waterers in both the chickens and turkeys, filled feeders also.
I have a 200 cow herd set up for Monday and another smaller herd for Tues and another one for Wed aft/Thurs morning... I may just cancel all of them this week if I do not feel better.

Took DS to 2 dr appts on Friday. We went by the vet again, after, and got more darts; in a week he has had 5 new cases at one pasture... he said they did not have runny eyes a week ago... and when I went to get milk the other evening, that farmer and his brother, were saying they have had a horrible outbreak of pinkeye in their cattle and they ran over 50 through the pen and chute and treated at least 20-25 of them....Too much rain/wet and then the heat, has had the fly population exploding...

Sky is black and thunder to the north... radar shows it skirting 20-30 miles north of here and us getting nothing... I'm going to get a shower and go to bed soon.

Hoping they can figure out what's wrong. Did they test for a UTI? Kidney infection?

When I was about 18 I woke up one morning with joint pain all over my body. It was so bad I couldn't put on my nylons. It lasted about a week. Doctor said it might have been a virus that affected my bones/joints.

Going to ask if they can test for a UTI although no changes in normal peeing... more frequent than I like and not being able to "hold it" as well but that has been going on for awhile... also test for Kidney infection...???

The thing that scares me about any viruses etc that affects the joints... infections getting into the replaced joints...
And there are about 4-5 different things besides LYME that ticks can pass to humans and I know that was a tick bite on my stomach.... bulls eye mark or just a rash... I have had ticks attached in the past and know the kind of spot that they leave that takes weeks to completely heal over...

I've had UTIs without symptoms. Low back pain could be stones, or a kidney infection. I've had both of those as well.
