The HVAC wasn't on when I got up this morning and fortunately we are in one of those spells where you don't really NEED heat or AC. Our service folks said they will be out probably Monday or Tuesday. We checked the breakers since there is a power issue with no power even at the thermostat.
Our early voting starts tomorrow so we are going to go into town and take care of that. Our area is so rural that we never have a lot of line but for the last two election cycles, we have had voting machine issues making for a long wait in spite of the lack of people there.
Teresa and I were...
Teresa has done more than taken up the slack, she has completely taken care of everything. She is heading to Missouri at the end of the month to see her siblings as well as several cousins. Most of them are getting in their 80's so it isn't time to stall much. Teresa moved one of the troughs...
I decided to continue with the PT for however long it goes. It is working and they keep changing it up so I doubt I could do that on my own. I am already up to about 50% movement range but have almost no strength so they are still saying to keep the weight lifted to about a glass of water.
I have decided that I love the fact that my shoulder replacement made the constant pain go away was a good thing but I said before how humbling this is. Picking up a glass of water is almost an adventure. :) I had what is probably one of my last PT visits today since the movements are really...
Jack is Oshi's son and has the making for being a really nice ram in both composition and attitude. His sister and mom were sold as part of a starter herd this past spring.
Our temps have been really mild but nice. Our high today was 75 with the low tonight around 48. I want to move the ewe herd tomorrow to fresh grass and I need to plan on getting Oshi separated so he can be moved out. I plan on using Jack as a clean up just in case there are any not bred. .
We had an appointment at Arnold Air Force Base at 11:00 to renew Teresa's ID card. Even with an appointment, we were there for well over an hour before being seen and we were the only people there. We stopped at a fast food and the chicken sandwich was either way over cooked or it had sat out...
Today has been a mostly watch football kind of day. I'm still limited in what I can do but I am still trying to be a good boy. I can mow and did so with the zero turn for a couple of hours yesterday but even that one causes issues the next day. There are a few places that I need to use the...
We went to town and filed for the drought assistance with the USDA office. It is a wee bit less than last year but it is an uncounted late summer bonus. We had 44 sheep at the due date but you max out at 3 sheep per acre which comes to a max of 28 head for us.
I went out to look at the down tree this morning and told Teresa that I would knock this one out. About 4 hours later, I guess it sunk in what I had said. She asked me if I was planning on cutting up that tree and I said sure, it isn't that big. She didn't say anything for a few seconds but...
We didn't have much today but it looks like we are going to be solid rain for at least the next day and a half. That is why I moved the dogs in with the rams so they can have shelter. The ewes have shelter but they don't share well with the dogs. :) Maisy prefers where she is since she can...
I forgot to mention that even though it has only been a little over a month since I started doing the Rapatha injections for cholesterol, my blood work shows the count to be less than half what it was before I started. I had a little trouble getting the prescription straightened end but it all...
I did but I didn't answer any of the questions. Our provider is pretty good but they are forced to ask all of those garbage things but don't enforce answering the questions.
Even though it seems that I have been seeing doctors non-stop, I had what amounts to my annual today. She had more questions than normal. I'm not sure she was amused by some of my answers but she still smiled. One of the questions was about if I had any memory loss. I told her "not that I...
