Fabtron Saddle Advice wanted - Pics

I bought the saddle with hopes it was going to be a good fit and I think it is. Please see pics below and let me know what you think of the fit. The swell is 13" and any narrower would have been too narrow. I put on without the thick pad I had from my TWH mare so you could see the fit. Need...

Need hay feeder ideas for rainy climate

I'm also in rainy Washington. I didn't want to build anything I couldn't move, so I took two cattle panels I already had and my daughter and I ziptied them down the middle and then tacked them to 2 x 4's and then stood it up and screwed 2 x 4's to hold the ends upright. Added a tarp that is...

    alfalfa hay

My goats are just wierd compared to all of yours. When I got my 6 month old nubians - wether and doeling back in Oct, they had been eating local hay. I bought a bale and they wouldn't eat it. They ate my HUGE weeping willow instead. When they had the willow pruned to look like an umbrella...

http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/hort/consumer/poison/Epiprau.htm Above is a link regarding the "devil's ivy" as we call it. Those goats have the longest ears. They look like they'd get stepped on when bending down to eat or lay down. SO CUTE Tails are pretty long too. I'd remove the cloth or...

    Hay storage question?

When I had my horses, I had bought a deck bench that was big enough to hold a large and long bale of hay. A little spendy though. If you have scrap wood around or access to free pallets, you could make a box with lid to hold a bale of hay you could put a latch on it to keep the goaties out of it.

    Goat eating dog food

I feed my 3 dogs in the garage twice a day before I feed the goats. I had to buy these bowls with the three plastic pegs to stop them from wolfing their food down too fast. They still wolf it down by moving around the bowls in circles to get to the food. Done in less than a minute and running...
