How long before the baby starts to nurse? It's been about an hour and the doe continues to lick the kid clean; but no nusing yet.:/

One baby so far!:lol: can't tell what it is yet; mama is cleaning the baby, and so far so good!!!!

Just went to see her again and offered peanuts; she eat them and got to her kidding box and now she is starting to push!!! :lol:

PINew to kidding; and I wanted to ask how long do you think until delivery time??? She is a first timer, having contractions every 5 min or so, mucus on tail, full udder, swollen vulva, and she is acting more affectionate towards me. She was supposed to kid on the 18; but I don't think she'll...

Our goats looove peanuts and they also like pine needles a lot! :drool

Thanks for the replies everybody! I'm going to keep on trying with lots of patience (and treats) until she gives in :D

She is friendly; but won't let me touch her much...she likes peanuts for treats and will let me pet her a little while she eats them ; but that's all. She will be kidding in about 9 days and I want to get her used to being milked...any ideas?

Our doe will be due soon; this will be her first kidding....I'm hoping everything goes well.:P
