I understand - I am 6'3" and have been this way since 7th grade. I was 5'11 in 4th grade. Do you know how awkward it is to be 5'11" in 4th grade muchless be a girl and be tall!?
It does depend but I am in Missouri and know that some sell $8 live, $10 dressed
OR you can do it by the pound. I know that Pel Freeze and the place in Iowa (name is escaping me now) pay $1.45 per lb live weight.

thanks so much for posting pics.
our big momma had babies a few weeks ago and I knew they weren't all New Zealand. I think she is NZ/FG cross. She had 9 babies- 7 white ones and 2 that look like a wild rabbit (don't know what color that is called)
They are HUGE compared to my NZ babies.
One problem I have discovered (thought it was always in the back of my mind) from buying families at the sale barn...you don't know if the mama has been bred back yet!
So frustrating. I don't like to breed back immediatly, because we like to leave the babies with their mamas until 6 weeks...
is your buck proven? Are you using the same buck?
We were having that problem for awhile and then bought a new older mature buck and we have babies coming out of our ears!
Hope you get it figured out!
Glad we are not the only ones! I have 1 doe that has had 2 false pregnancies in a row- pulled fur both times!
Another doe had a false pregnancy - pulled fur and everything. I haven't been successful with any of them! I don't know if it has something to do with our buck or not?? He is really...
Our nest boxes came with our pens that we bought off of CL Here is a pic:
I don't have any better pictures than that- sorry. But it is a large cube with a hinged door for easy clean out. Every pic I see on here and other sites are the open boxes. Is there anything I need to know as to why...
I have a doe that made her nest on Saturday, started pulling fur yesterday afternoon and is still pulling fur today. She was bred on 2/23 so she should be having babies anytime! I bred 2 other does on the same day and no signs of anything?!?! I go and check on them 3-4 times a day and even got...
we feed a fescue mix. Luckily DH square baled about 150 bales last year and it has came in handy when feeding the bunnies and calves. The rabbits really like it. I also sometimes feed wheat straw with lespedeza mixed in-they really liked that too.
From what I have read-
anytime. I have read that some breed the next day after birth, some wait 3 weeks, some wait 2 months. depends on the breeder and the health of the rabbit.
hope that helps.
I have been on BYC for about a year now under the handle BarefootMom. I have lurked around here a bit before but I only had chickens and cows. Now I have chickens, cows, ducks, and rabbits. lol. I am new to ducks and rabbits, don't know a lot about what I am doing--I read almost daily. They...
