Oreo is calming down and walking well for Cassandra. The chest bump to get back legs out is working. I think Cassandra is over extending her now though.

I don’t know sheep showing, but looks a bit over extended. In dogs we want the legs straight down - front legs should be a right angle with the ground to the elbow, back legs a right angle to the ground from the hock down. But - not sure if that holds for sheep.
Others here for sure will have a good answer.

I would say she is over extended. My lambs do that sometimes. Her legs should be more like straight up and down.

You are correct, she is over extended. Rear legs should be straight from the hock down. However, Cassandra can work with that now that Oreo has learned to stand still after being stacked. If Cassandra cannot reach the rear legs, or if moving the rear legs makes Oreo jump around, have her move the front legs back a bit until the rear legs from hocks down are vertical. Teaching the animals to stand without moving when stacked is the hard part! Congrats on that! If Oreo humps her back, use the dairy goat trick of gently pinching the spine in front of her hooks to level her out in the ring.

I weaned Coconut today at 4 months to help Oreo put on weight. She is better but still not show fluffy. I will wean Socks next week when Oreo goes to show.

So I weaned Socks Sunday night. Today we bathed Oreo to get ready for show. She's filled out some and mostly came clean. Main & Tail shampoo for first wash followed by the Weever purple shampoo on the white spots.

And hopefully she'll stay clean with tube on.

If you have any dry shampoo (they sell it for dog shows) take some for her legs and any [arts the lamb tube doesn't cover. Another cleaning solution (without soap and water) on exposed legs is vinegar and baking soda. Dab on the vinegar, springle with baking soda, dry with towel and brush out. The dry shampoo is better.
