Personally I would go with the guernsey.
X2, Guernseys are so hard to find around here, and if I had the time and money, I will drive and git that gal before you had a chance to move. lol Really. She looks nice, and her udder looks good too. :)

I'm leaning towards the guernsey. They still haven't sent me more pictures of the heifer though, if I don't get pictures by Sunday I am probably going to go with the jersey. I don't want to be pushy and rude but I want to see some darn pictures!

So you already know you have C.R.A.P. I'm worried you may have a Jersey Infatuation complication. It can be serious:)

Well, they never sent me a picture today like they said they were. Oh well, I found a place about an hour and a half away with Jersey mix heifer calves for sale at two weeks old for $175, and they might have a Jersey/Guernsey for $150. I think I'm going to go with the calves so I can raise them up to be sweethearts, and I can use my current milk cows milk for them! I'm excited. I called the lady, she said they guarantee they will breed, they paid $5 to have them tubed. They are given all their shots and everything.

Look like I'm getting two dairy heifer calves, a jersey and a jersey holstein. We might also get the guernsey as well. I guess I'm going into the dairy business...LOL! At least I'll have two years til I am able to milk the two calves, sp for now I'll have 2 milkers I guess. I had no clue dairy cattle would be so addicting!

The lady FINALLY sent me more pics of the guernsey, now what do you guys think?! She never got pictures from the back but I guess I could ask for some if you guys think I need to.

Don't mean to be critical but she obviously doesn't know how to take good pictures of cattle. These pictures are actually less helpful than the initial ones you provided.

Personally I don't care for the udder either. One thing seems for sure that she looks like she needs a hoof trim.

As far as the udder is concerned, though, for a small-time farmer like yourself it shouldn't be much of an issue. :)

I have to agree with you on her not being able to take good pictures of cattle! I asked her for a good side view, a rear pic, and an udder pic. I thought her hooves looked a little long too. I personally don't know how to trim cow hooves, I've done horse and donkey hooves but not cows.
You don't think her back will be a problem? Won't it get worse as she ages?

I really want her because I really want a guernsey, but I don't want something that is going to make my farm look bad....ya know? I mean looks aren't everything but, I'd like something that looks nice. I have no clue what to do!

Could she end up lookin like this?

That there's a nice-looking cow. But with her its hard to say. She's got her winter coat on, which makes her look a bit rougher than that cow in the pic, and maybe I'm just being overly critical lol.

Really, if you want her that bad, then get her. Guernsey's aren't all that common around here in North America, and who knows, with the right feed and TLC she might turn out to be a nice cow for your farm. :)
