I'm new on this forum, I've been hanging around the SufficientSelf site for awhile.

I've been a goat person for over 20 years now. I started with Pygmies and now have Nubians and am starting my own line of Kinders. We had kids a couple of days ago, and have more due this week.

I had pigs up until a couple months ago... well, you might say I still have pigs - but they graduated from pasture pig to freezer pigs. I love those pigs!

I raise some rare/endangered/heritage breeds of chickens. I've got Barred Hollands; Red and Silver Gray Dorkings; White, Salmon, and Blue Salmon Favrolles; Coronation and Light Sussex; Black Copper and Wheaten Marans; Buff, Black, and Lavender Orpngtons; AND, I just received Jubilee Orpington eggs.

DH and I stay pretty busy around the place with all the critters and a big ol' garden.

Oops, I almost forgot the other critters. Two West Highland White Terriers that are living in prison (brand new cushy non-escapable pen) now - they've been baaaaad lately. And a LGD that's not in prison, cuz she's gooooood! :)

Howdy, Moonshine! Hope your part of Texas was pure wonderful today. We had high temps, rain, humidity and more humidity today. But, hey - it's all good!

You just got Jubilee orpington eggs! WOW! Those are some jaw-dropping gorgeous birds! I drool over their pics online. I don't have orps, but if I did, the Jubilees would top the list! Maybe later we could work out something on a couple of hens? I can't have roos-live in town and close neighbors that probably wouldn't appreciate a cock-a-doodle-doo at 3 AM.

Welcome to BYH! I mostly hang out on TEG, then SS and come here to live vicariously through everyone else's posts about their animals.

We didn't get rain today, but got the heat and humidity!

No rain yet but lots of humidity, but that's TX for ya.
