I read somewhere ... or maybe heard somewhere ?? Anywho.. apparently having people that you don't see regularly disappear from your memory is one of the ADHD things. Literally out of sight, out of mind. The more I find out about it, the more it explains why I have so much trouble being social.
Or - more likely - the more it's easy to blame my social-interaction constipation on ADHD.

My daughter tested for ADD, doesn’t have the “H” of hyperactivity. I’m guessing she got it from me. But she can stick with things much better than I can. She only takes the medication when she absolutely has to buckle down and concentrate. I’d say she’s done well, she had a bachelors degree at 19, 2 Masters degrees at 22 and is currently completing a Doctorate and will graduate in December 2024.

I took the ADHD meds once. I felt quite calm and relaxed. I've thought about getting on it so I could deal with stupid better. But it wouldn't be me. They say people with it are often not smarter but better at certain jobs requiring lots of thought. Like engineers and such. In my line of work I see it easy to not only read prints, P& Id's and/or Iso's. And see the next thing, whether it's a problem we're going to have on this line or knowing I'm running out of work and I need to figure out the next line. I have it figured out before we get there. I hate seeing fitters run into a problem, COMPLETLY STOP, which also means the welder is just standing around and run to the foreskin and ask what do I do. It's your job to think for a living, it's just his job to tell you what to do not how to do it. I also hate the foreskin answer to most problems. I just tell them after I'm done, or when they ask why did you do it that way.

"foreskin" :lol: :lol: :lol:
I wish our previous outside engineering group was that meticulous. I've spent 2 years fixing their screwups. My polite nickname for them is "Really Mediocre Simpletons".

Well now you can call them foreskins……. How unfortunate, somebody hauled them out of the trash and gave them life.

Just came off the roof. Worked by myself this morning. I got 2 spans of radiant heat barrier down. Ran out . Need to go buy 2x4s . Got 2 rolls of heat barrier ordered, supposed to be here tomorrow.

Soaking wet, look like I played in a water sprinkler. It would have been more fun!

@Baymule you need to move up north and I'll teach you how to work. You sit on your porch and you watch your garden grow

I've gotten to where I just say nice to see you instead of nice to meet you after, having a buddy's girlfriend say it's nice to meet you to CLSranch AGAIN for the 3rd time.
About 25 years ago my sister and I went to a party given =by one of my friends. When I went to introduce my sister I froze at her name - I couldn't remember it!
Me: "Let me introduce you to my sister, Uh . . . . "
Sister: "Cecilia - you dope" accompanied by a slug on the arm.
