Just putting this out there - I know there's a lot of different shade cloths out there, but there is also aluminet -- it's a shade cloth that is like silver netting sort of. I've used it on my van when I was out doing dog competitions where we had to stay at/in our vehicles when we were not competing and it was fabulous. Amazing stuff. I've actually put it on the greenhouse (40% rating, I used 70% on the van). Just kind of an fyi as I only learned about it from the dog world.

Wow!! That is a lot of digging & pulling! Great job! What app do you use for identifying? I can't seem to make the ones I've tried work. Maybe I'm not good at talking plant picts.
I'm THRILLED that you're already seeing such dramatic results of all that hard work over the past weeks!!! Hooray for cooling!!

I went to the 50’s Ladies Lunch in Lufkin today. I got home at 3:00. Dogs were so hot! Sentry ran to the back porch steps. I let him in and he went to the dog crate. I let Carson in the house. Sheba was so hot she was crying. I put her and Buford in the front yard so they could go under the porch. I got them fresh cold water. All is well now. The heat is awful.

It’s 99F with heat index of 107F and dry. No rain in the forecast.

Sentry is asleep in the crate. Carson is asleep on the floor behind my recliner. Sheba and Buford are under the front porch where it’s cool.

Ewes and lambs are in the cow panel hoop shelter, under the tarp stretched behind it and they go in the pallet shelter. They don’t go in the Quonset huts-too hot.

Cooper and his girls are in the field. They go lay under the oak tree, get up and graze awhile then go back to the shade of the tree.

Saw this on FB, thought of you, hopefully it's not as hot where you are.

Could you get solar powered fans to set up in the shelters? Would that help cool the sheep and dogs?
