I was in Livingston in 1994, I remember that flood well. It floated homes off the blocks. It was a mess. A friend took me up in his airplane and it was just water everywhere.
Hurricane Harvey put 7’ of water in her house and even washed away the brick on the first story. There was nothing left but 2x4 studs.
She gets flood insurance through FEMA. It’s high but she can’t be without it. It’s a beautiful place when it’s not underwater. It’s home, she loves it there, her husband died there and she ain’t going anywhere. I don’t like her being there but I’ll fight anyone for her right to be there. If she can make it in, she and her dogs can go upstairs. She knows the drill.
Bay, hasn't she had her house flooded before? Soon, won't be able to buy insurance for such.
