I like that truck!!!

Slowly working on fixing it up to be more comfortable. Got larger tires that will be here in couple of days to lift it some more, have brand new windshield waiting to be installed, need to rip the cab top half off and rebuild it better. I use it as pickup truck, but too cold in the winter with air flowing through the cab as if a window is down. So instead I just rescue the community when they slide off road due to snow/ice, ones that get stuck in snow in their driveway or just pull the county grader out that gets stuck plowing a drift (that YouTube video garnished me over 90k views)

I got this picture from my sister’s friend. Sis is home, that’s her with back to the camera, with neighbor’s teenage daughter. She was in Waco on a school competition. That’s her boyfriend who just happened to have a canoe. Dogs are in the canoe too.

Sis is mopping and cleaning up. Refrigerator is toast, food spoiled. She has talked to the contractor, going to cut Sheetrock 4 feet up and use dehumidifiers to dry out studs. He will be there Monday. Her son is coming tomorrow. She and dogs are glad to be home.

The golf cart in the ditch belongs to her next door neighbor. He drove it into the flood waters, it swept the cart into the ditch. The water rose over the roof of the golf cart.


Water has receded and the road is now dry. This picture was at noon.

You can have a heart attack on the way to the hospital and die cause you couldn't get there and they chalk it up the flood. Just how they use disasters to get more emergency funds or whatever agenda they have.

He was a 76 year old man whose truck went off the road in the flood waters. He got out, then tried to go back to get something out of his truck. The flood waters swept him away and his body was found downstream.

Flood waters are nothing to fool around with. Even if the water is not too deep, the current is usually bad and there are submerged things being swept along that will knock you down.

Take the air filter cover off. If there is water in it, call wrecker and take to a shop. If the air filter housing is dry, crank it up and go home.

Got 2 BBQ pits, gas grill, porch glider, burn barrel, two sewing machines in cabinets, a trunk and bunch of boxes home today with help of a couple of friends. Boxes still in cab of truck.
