[Baymule]

We put up a hummingbird feeder one fall. A female showed up, landed and sipped sugar water all day. She was so weak that she could barely hang on, and rocked side to side. Next morning, still there. She stayed there 3 days before she was strong enough to fly up on a tree branch. Then a couple of days flying down to feed, then back to her tree branch. This was followed by defending “her” feeder and gave us lots of laughs. When fully rested and fed, she flew away.

I have two or three that hang around here. I have to bring in the hummingbird feeder at night, or it freezes. Put it out in the morning. Amazing that those tiny birds can last thru the nights when it gets down to 25 or so degrees!!
