I spread the thistles out to dry, then I’ll stuff them in trash bags. I did another mule load yesterday.

I’m beat, I processed 16 chickens, stopped long enough to do evening chores. I have 12 pounds cut off the bone, I’ll grind it and package it tomorrow. When I stand in one place all day, my back hurts. When I process chicken all day, my between the shoulders hurts. I’m using wine therapy.

Wine or whine therapy?

Actually I give you kudos, I've not yet processed chickens.

Just wait! o_O when/if you do, you'll whine & wine!

The start is hard & dismal. Then you get into a "suck it up & get done!" mood....dragging yourself through it. 16 is a lot, especially alone and one session.

The memories of those days have kept me from jumping back into it. :old That plucker is worth every penny, guts are still messy and then you're looking at a couple more days of stinky, messy, cut up and packaging. 🙄😖

Yeah, several days of yuk. 😂. Great job Bay 👍

A neighbor replaced my porch light for me. I told him I’d give him a chicken. He was not impressed, didn’t want a chicken. LOL I assured him it would be dead, cut up and ready to cook. Oh, ok!

He came over yesterday and I gave him his chicken. He said his 92 year old mom never ate chicken, but liked fried chicken livers. So I’m gonna take her 2 packages of livers, 14 ounces each. I like them too, and fried gizzards. I got plenty more chickens. LOL
