I have all my kidding stalls on a barn cam now, so at least I can keep a close eye on them from the comforts of my living room chair. Sure beats all the trips back and forth to the barn. I started out with the baby monitor, but those brats would make strange noises just to see if I'd come running. When I'd get there, they'd just look at me like, "What?"
Don't you just LOVE the ones who make "Oh I'm pushing" sounds, and you get down there and discover they're just scratching an itch and grunting about it? I've learned to wait a few minutes to see if the sound is repeated.
And I really love the roo who crows at 4 am every day......right in my ear.
mine have always kidded between 8 am and 2 pm and all but one time have I been present.. they always wait until I am away at work and surprise me with dried off running around or more like wobbling around kids in the barn..
