My buck has always been with the does and I never noticed any difference in the milk. And I am not real good at getting it cold quickly

I have an OberTogg and a Togg. Great for cheese, but..... It's probably a combo of the breed and the change in grazing. I would never give 100% alfalfa, to any of my farmamals, but that's just me. Getting it cooled quickly helps, but it is very goaty. I LOVE my Tog, she's my baby. I feel bad for not loving her milk, but I really don't. I use her milk for cheese, and soap. Some people don't mind it at all. I am desperately trying to get my hands on a Nubian to add to my little herd for this very reason.
