I Ordered Boone a pulling harness. Iiā€™m going to let him pull a tire out front. I think this way he can visit a bit with the ranch pack, but weā€™ll be able to catch him. There was a benefit to them tangling with him the other night when my belt broke and his collar came off. The 2 dogs that jumped him seem afraid of him now as he whooped ā€˜em pretty good. I donā€™t think he hurt them, as he always pulls punches with Fen , but their 50 lb just doesnā€™t stand a chance against his 125+ I need to weigh him again as I had to let out the buckles on his vest after he hit 125.

Heā€™s becoming very affectionate. Iā€™m sure not gonna complain, as I have missed the devotion Heath had for me. Booneā€™s a gud boi. Weā€™ve been working on his down stay. The platform bed helps a LOT as itā€™s clear to him where to stay, whereas I have him stay on the floor and he rolls and wiggles on his side all over the room šŸ¤Ŗ It should be an interesting 4 hr Monday
My Pooh would be told to go to her corner, by the back door, but would stalk her way into the living room where we were watching TV. We called it "elbowing" as she'd stay on her belly, using her "elbows" to move forward.

Hmm. Kind of like a sheepdog. Must have been her Sheltie half surfacing.

Found a photo of Pooh, when she was 14.

Boone got an owie above his tail. (Bite? Hot spot? Puncture from racing through brambles?Allergy?) It was size of a dime. He. Wonā€™t. Leave. It. Alone. :he
I bought XXXL inflatable collar. He can still reach.
I bought XXXL lampshade. He can still reach, because he bulldozes into everything until its mashed and he can get it pushed down his neck. Heā€™s a menace.
I tried my undies. Randyā€™s undies. Blue jeans cut off and fastened to his vest. Western shirt backwards. Nothing. Works.
I have been up with him for 2 nights (while also nursing a sick Randy and trying to manage feeding ( no strength forking hay flakes off of 1500 lb bales. Hurts like a #!% before Iā€™m done, plus he has everything spread out too far-ducks there, chickens up yonder, feral cats down the way, pig in next pasture, Mister in corral and rabbits next to house. I put on miles running back and forth in freezing cold)
I ran across an old 30 yr old flannel granny gown. It works! Itā€™s long enough to hang over his butt so he canā€™t get to the now double dollar sized wounds. I split the underside and put an elastic belt around him so he could walk, pee and poopā€¦but 30 yr old flannel disintegrates. I found my 1 and only dress and put on him. Not quite as handy as the pjā€™s because I donā€™t want to split it.
Heā€™s mortified.
We call him ā€œMrs Doubtfireā€

Hope I can sleep tonight as I now have Randy's death rattles.
A vet designed post surgery suit is on its way so he has something to protect his @$$ until itā€™s healed. Hope it fits.

OMG  Mrs Doubtfire it is! If any gold Listerine around, sponge some on the sore spot.

What's up with DH? SICK??? geesh...y'all are a mess. Slather him in old fashioned Vicks. OR -- Maybe you can load them both in a vehicle & kennel them in town at various medical places for a day or two.....go back home & rest! :oldšŸ«£

Boone wears it better than I ever did. I canā€™t speak at all because my throat is in flames. Coughing is excruciating. My belly is disgusted by all the zinc, elderberry, oregano oil and mullein Iā€™ve been consuming in various forms. I tried the garlic in honey people swear by but the cure is far worse than the disease. I love garlic. I love honey, but the two should NEVER be in my mouth at the same time šŸ¤¢
Hoping I am manageably well by THURSDAY as I need pain meds and truck tags
