Boone has me over a barrel. He’s learned I can’t resist kisses and cute puppy faces. He abuses the privilege. Gonna have to start ordering dog kookeez online, don’t go to town enough…I’ll just keep telling myself all the kisses are cuz he loves me and not that he’s manipulating me for kookeez…

Not only can Boone gently take off my socks, but today he took off my GLOVES!!
If he sees a job that he thinks needs to be done, he does it. LOL
I also had knit sleeves on. He removed those first and handed me them to me, then my gloves.
I got up to feed the dogs and I must have had a pair on my lap and didn’t notice dropping them on the way to the pantry. After they ate, Boone came to me and picked the glove off the floor and gave it to me. I hadn’t asked for it because I didn’t see it, but now I had two gloves and one sleeve. I shook the sleeve at him and asked “do you know where the other one of these is?”
He walked around the corner and came back with it.
How can a 17 month old puppy be this dang smart??

. I honestly think, given the effort, that there isn’t anything he can’t learn to do…except vacuum. I can’t get him to even consider that.
It’s a high pain day so I can’t do much of anything and Boone is bored. So we decided to try a little indoor shed hunting. No matter where I put it, he found it in under a minute. Then I switched up on him and showed him my wrist brace. He’s never been told to find it, give it to me, nothing. I just showed it to him, told him what it’s called, locked him in our room and hid it. I let him out and told him “find the brace” and dang if he didn’t! He passed it once but kept looking, then went back and found it, hidden among his toys in his basket. Everyday he surprises me!
Mind blown!
Ps. Pardon the filthy house. Pain week and the towel etc is Boone’s. I roll kibble up in it, tie it in knot and it keeps him busy for awhile

That’s unbelievable!! Boone is such a fantastic boy! Your training and games keeps him trying to please you!

His intelligence blows my mind. I knew LGD’s were smart, because of my Maremmas, but after working with Boone, I didn’t give these breeds nearly enough credit.
