breeding young male with older doe

I have a young NZ buck about 5 months old , his testicles have dropped. I put an older doe
in his cage and she attacks him.... fur flys, so I immediately take her out. Is this normal ?
should I leave her in longer ? Is it he is still to young ?

Have you bred the doe before? I had the same thing happen a few days ago when I bred some of my does. One of the does attacked a younger buck, he is the same age as yours, after a few minutes of breeding she lunged at him. I took the doe out and put her in with one of my Srs., she was fine, didn't try to attack him or anything. The only thing that I could think of would be the size, the jr. buck was 3/4 of her size.

Yes she has been bred before .... its his first time.
I guess he still needs to grow a little.
