What a GUUUD boy!

Every dog I have owned loved car rides. I'm amazed that Buford doesn't.

His first car ride was when I picked him up. Go to first page. Other car rides have been to vet. My fault for not taking him somewhere fun.

Anatolians don't particularly like leaving their home place and flock. He is doing great to get in the truck.

He has FINALLY decided that he likes animal crackers. But only because Sheba wanted them.

Lambing is happening! Buford is penned at night with Cooper the ram, next to the ewes. They have been lambing at night, next morning Buford is wild to go check on them. Finally a ewe came in to lamb in the middle of the day. I had my granddaughters visiting, so we got a chair and sat to watch. Buford came to watch too, but had to check on the ewe.

I told him that’s enough and he went to a nearby spot where he could watch her giving birth, plus keep an eye on the flock out on the field.

Perfect behavior, Buford laid down next to the chair and we all watched the lambs struggle to their tiny feet and suck life giving milk. He checked them over and went back out on the field.

He got hugs.

I took him to Sheba’s field and they played.
