Buying a rabbit? Can I just get one?

I heard some rabbits get lonely by themselves. I had a couple different friends that just had 1 rabbit and the rabbit always seem happy and content. I really would like to get just one rabbit. I am planning on building a hutch inside the barn. The rabbit would live with 17 chickens and I would be down at the barn several times a day. Or should I get two? I am planning on getting a mini lop.

Rabbits are usually housed by themselves when mature so I think it would be fine! I know people that only have one rabbit as well.

I agree with houndit. We had just one buck for a while and he was content and happy. Then he started getting lonely, until we got him a friend. The does are really good about being alone. :)
