Hi folks,

I adopted a baby Nigerian Dwarf buckling a few days ago and the little fella is lonely but I don't want to risk putting him with my does and doelings if he's going to bring them into oestrus. Is this possible?

My ram lambs are fertile at 3 months old. I wean at 2 to 2/12 months old. Before 3 months, they actively court the ewes, some high achievers consummate the romance before 2 months. Little stinkers. 😃

😯 ... I know that NDG's can consummate the romance 🤭 as young as 7 weeks but I was hoping that my little guy couldn't bring the girls into oestrus in order to accomplish the task ... I just want him to have some company so I'm going to have to get a wether sooner than expected is all. ☺️
