Had a really nice Christmas. Sis & I gave Dad a new electric recliner. His had pillows stuffed in where the springs had given up. He tried to get us to return it because he "won't live long enough to get good use out of it". We kept telling him that there was no reason he shouldn't have a comfy chair & even more so BECAUSE he's in his 80s!
I got a small grounding mat. Hoping that maybe the anti-inflammatory rumors & purported sleep enhancing effects might show up soon. Sis & Brother in law's big gifts were (her) ticket & lunch at a big women's Bible conference in Jan & (him) a small greenhouse. I hope they both enjoy them.

I took Dad to buy a new microwave today. It makes me so sad to go in his house. He does not clean. He will not tolerate me trying to clean for him. He became belligerent to the friend I hired to clean for him. I don't believe it's anywhere near healthy.
He only eats microwave food. He refuses any attempts I've made to cook for him.
It just makes me so sad to see him living like that. Mom would be heartbroken to see the house & how he lives.

Four days until 2025.
I'm sure we all have high hopes & big dreams and long lists of projects.
Is there 1 thing that is your 'do or die trying' project?

Now that I've decided to breed Eva again, I have a whole list of things related to that. High up on that list is saving up to get a small milking machine. I don't think that my hips & knees are going to tolerate sitting on and getting up from the milking stool. Along that same line of thought is getting into a program to strengthen my core, hips & legs.

Also - there is the long term project to collect fencing material to improve my pasture security.

What's on yall's minds for 2025?

There are some decent machines on Amazon for way less. The big ones, costing thousands aren't truly needed for one cow...not the use considerations of several. Plus calf sharing means 1x a day use, right? One on Craigslist now. A heavier use unit -- they sold their cow, so not needed. I love you decision! Keep Eva productive.

I just contacted this seller on marketplace. She claims that it is just like the picture (which looks like it's clipped from an ad)

I told her I'd have to wait a week to get the money together.
I think I'm going to ask for an actual picture though.

This is a "cheaper" type... china mfg... and the track record is not that good... so, support for problems since it is not mfg in USA might not be good. You can buy it direct from someplace like AliExpress for $350 plus tax. I would do some more looking before committing to this.
Check out Vevor cow milking machine... you will find all sorts of places....
