WSU certainly has a different definition, but thanks for the info.
Bee-keeping is fascinating to me. My neighbor has many hives and we greatly enjoy the honey! :) Although we have had to call him and let him know his bees are on our property again. Could he please come get them. ;)

Put some boxes on your property and in May - June perriod they will become populated with bees.
And harvest your own honey.

LOL- I'll leave the bees to the neighbors! I am much better with poultry and goats and dogs!
My DD however is obsessed with insects and bugs! She is studying to be an entomologist. :D

Yes, they are an amazement to me! We really do enjoy them, we make sure our clover isn't mowed down and we plant different things so there is always something for them and we do not spray etc anything that will kill them.
RESPECT the BEE! :)

Bee venom is a fantastic medicine.
It is a vaccine in fact.
It is worth it's weight in gold this days.
The first AIDS vaccine is based on bee venom.
First 50 stings are more difficult but after that it becomes a craving for stings.
Past 6000 one does not even pay attention to them.
And in the first place one has to give a good reason to a bee to commit suicide and sting.
